Job Title: Physiotherapy Supervisor (Trauma & Joint Arthroplasty Program)
Basic Purpose of the Role:
To undertake a lead role in the development and evaluation of trauma and elective orthopedics physiotherapy service. To work as an expert clinician liaising effectively with other health professionals to ensure evidence based delivery of service within the trauma service line and joint arthroplasty programme. To provide leadership in the specialist field of MSK Physiotherapy and be a key contributor to service design, research and audit. To participate on the development and implementation of relevant clinical protocols and pathways, Evidence Based Practice (EBP), as well as actively participate in the pre and post rehabilitation of patients post joint replacement.
Education Requirements
BSc in Physiotherapy
Master degree in Rehabilitation Services or in related clinical degree or in Healthcare field or management or administration field.
Experience Requirements
NLT 6 years post graduate experience as a Physiotherapist in a large hospital or rehabilitation setting with NLT 2 years of supervisory/senior post.
UAE National: NLT 3 years relevant experience in an acute care hospital and NLT 1 year manager or supervisory or equivalent experience.
License Requirements

Previous experience working within Trauma and elective orthopedics Physiotherapy:
Experience of setting up and running previous joint arthroplasty programmes
Experience of supervising and appraising staff/students
Experience working as a clinical educator
Experience of participation in audit
Experience in supervisory and teaching skills Experience of managing complaints
Knowledge and experience of quality issues, clinical governance and outcome measures
Experience in implementing change of clinical practice or process
Understanding of multi-disciplinary working and inter-professional relationships.
Research awareness. Understanding of relevant legislation.
Knowledge of up to date clinical practice and current issues relating to profession
