ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Formulates or defines system scope and objectives for on-going IT and database projects;
    Recommends best technologies to enhance current IT and database systems and childcare centre web-watch cameras;
    Develop and implement data administration policy and standards;
    Data analysis, trending, reporting, and presentations to identify areas of improvement as well as providing a dashboard of activities;
    Develop policies and procedures for network and internet database access and usage;
    Monitor integrity and effectiveness of IT and database programs while preparing and administering budget plans to manage and control expenses within the established guidelines;
    Provides insight into network and software problems; collects and establishes facts, draws valid conclusions, recommends the best steps to and corrects the situation;
    Maintains excellent working relationships with all childcare sites and head office employees to assist in providing user and management training, presentations as well as regular communications; and
    Develops and writes policies and procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of systems hardware and software;
    Visits and maintains a relationship with vendors to learn about available products and services;
    Conduct research and analyzes system security and emergency policy measures, procedures and test results;
    Analyzes and reviews system effectiveness performance, functionality, availability and operating stability;
    Contributes to the overall effectiveness of the department, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member;
    Performs other related assignments as required.
    
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

    Related University degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience;
    Minimum 3-5 years of professional IT experience with key strengths in user support and administrator role;
    Minimum 2-3 years of Operations/Managerial experience;
    Strong analytical skills, data management and computer systems understanding;
    Strong organizational, follow-up and priority setting skills;
    Ability to work quickly and calmly in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
    Excellent working knowledge of the technical environment and tools
    Strong interpersonal skills, good problem solving and troubleshooting abilities; good organizational and planning abilities, able to focus and follow priorities; a self starter and able to work with minimal supervision;
    Is user oriented, able to learn quickly and be flexible on work assignments and changing requirements;
    Excellent communication skills, oral and written proficiency in English
    An understanding of corporate hierarchies and an ability to function effectively within a corporate environment; awareness of the contribution his/her profit centre makes to the whole;
