The Role

This role is for a Senior Graphic Designer who will be based in Dubai and running a small studio.  It is an Art Director / Junior Creative Director role within a boutique agency.  As a small but aggressively growing creative agency, this role is yours to define.  The role is looking for a senior, experienced creative to build the team.  He/she will need to be creative, quick thinking and be able to manage multiple projects at once.  A creative mind and also capable of leading a team.

Key Responsibilities to include:

    Ability to formulate basic layout design or presentation approach, and specify material details.
    Review and approve proofs of printed copy and art and copy materials developed by staff members.
    Confer with creative, art, copy-writing, or production department to discuss client requirements and presentation concepts, and to coordinate creative activities.
    Train and direct studio team members to develop design concepts into art layouts.
    Mark up, paste, complete layouts, and write typography instructions to prepare materials.
    Prepare detailed storyboards showing sequence and timing of story development for film production.
    Knowledge of brand creation, management and ability to create and utilise a new brand knowledge of digital design/development would also be advantageous - HTML design and build.

The Person

    Minimum 7-10 years’ experience as a graphic designer. Agency experience essential.
    Full working knowledge of CS6 Creative Suite; InDesign / Illustrator / Photoshop.
    Needs to have an understanding of video and AV.
    Must work to tight deadlines and ensure work is delivered to high standards.
    Bachelor of Arts degree or higher in graphic design.
    English fluent. Both written and spoken - Arabic would be an added bonus
