Job Description

Our client is a government entity, currently seeking an Investment Managing Director to lead and direct the Investments function within the entity. The role encompasses the Real Estate, Investment Funding and Joint Ventures activities, to ensure that the organisation is strategically aligned to the long term vision through sourcing, negotiating and closing revenue generating opportunities.

Some responsibilities will include:

• Provide overall leadership and guidance to the real estate team to ensure that there is continuous business development activities underway to source and sign new business.
• Lead the identification and negotiation of land sales opportunities for our client, in line with the budgeted targets for annual land sales revenue.
• Identify and maintain relationships with current and potential anchor business partners in order to build the attractiveness and appeal of our client as a real estate venue.
• Identify and manage Joint Venture opportunities for our client and ensure that JVs are aligned to the long term interests of the organization.
• Source and manage investment funding through stock/bond acquisitions.
• Provide oversight to the organisation and ensure they are implementing the agreed strategy and operating in a financially prudent manner.
• Proactively engage in networking and develop external relationships with relevant external authorities and other institutions in order to ensure that the appropriate level of external services are obtained to the best advantage of the business meeting all obligations for such services.
• Provide leadership and directions so that the appropriate caliber of Human Resources are attracted, motivated, engaged, developed and retained so that the best possible productivity can be obtained from this critical resource to meet the company’s business objectives.



Required Qualifications
Skills and Experience:

• Post graduate degree in Finance or Business
• Master’s in Business Administration is preferable
• 15 – 20 years of experience in Business Management, with at least 5 years of investment role “heading”
• Investment Fund Management

• Communication
• Sales force
• Fluency in Arabic essential
