Role Responsibility:

To accelerate our port sector growth G4S has decided to appoint a Regional Port Solutions Manager to undertake business development and operational solutions implementation across the ports industry within the Middle East Region.  The holder of this position will be tasked with:

    Working closely with G4S Director Global Port Solutions to deliver sector growth, revenue and profit through providing solutions to port sector customers.
    Implement the regional port sector strategy, securing the support of country managers for its success.
    Develop and implementing added-value solutions that appeal to government and port operator customers.
    Identify and priorities port sector business development opportunities within the region.
    Lead and co-ordinate the regions business development and solutions implementation in the port sector.
    Develop relationships and partnerships with regional port sector stakeholders (internal and external).
    Develop and ensure that appropriate levels of resource and capability exist for delivery of port security solutions.
    Support and where appropriate lead port sector customer engagement.
    Maximise co-operation and the sharing of port sector information and expertise on the ports sector within the region.

The Port Solutions Manager should have working experience, knowledge of, and have received training, in some or all of the following:

    Experience of successful international business development in the port sector
    Comprehensive knowledge of the port sector
    Involvement with complex bid/project management
    Credibility within the port industry
    A clear understanding of its commercial dynamics and regulatory drivers
    A proven ability to build industry partnerships
    Experience of port security operations, including;
    Corporate security policies.
    Security administration.
    Relevant International conventions, codes and regulations.
    Relevant National government legislation and regulations.
    Responsibilities and functions of other security organizations.
    Methodology of security assessment, security surveys and inspections. Setting security levels.
    Knowledge of current security threats and patterns;
    Techniques used to circumvent security measures;
    Security equipment and systems and their operational applications and limitations;
    Methods of conducting audits, inspections, control and monitoring;
