ECMIT is a leading English-medium institution of higher learning that offers credit based associate of science degree programs in Business and Information Technology. The College is situated in the heart of Dubai, a modern beautiful city known for its thriving cultural, recreational and world class socio-economic life. The College has launched a 4-year 124 credit Bachelor of Business Administration Program (BBA) with concentrations in Management, Marketing and Human Resources Management from Spring 2013, approved by the UAE’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Required Qualifications:
-A Ph.D. degree with relevant specialization from recognized institutions of higher learning together with appropriate teaching and research experience is required for each position.

-For Marketing, preference will be given to candidates who possess dual expertise/academic preparation in management and marketing.

-Selected candidates will be required to join the college from September 2014.

 Associate Professor :

    Ph.D. or DBA from a recognized university
    4-5 years of post-Ph.D. teaching and research experience at an institution of higher learning
    Evidence of research ,scholarly and consulting activities: 4 to 5 publications in journals of international repute; conference papers and working series papers
    Experience and expertise in academic administration, program assessment and quality assurance
    Curriculum Development & Planning experience
    Thesis & Project supervision
    Committee works and community services
    Membership in professional organizations

Duties

•     Delivering large group lectures to between 20 and 200 students

•     Delivering small group teaching to between 1 and 20 students

•     Pastoral care of students

•     One to one advice on particular pieces of work

•     Course design

•     Lecture/seminar planning

•     Marking assessed work

•     Keeping student records of achievement

•     Attending planning meetings to ensure cross departmental parity

•     Undertaking research projects

•     Presenting research at conferences

•     Administration tasks (e.g. admissions tutor) within the department
