College of Education Department Head Job at Al Ghurair University in Dubai

JOB TITLE: DEPARTMENT HEAD- COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (ENGLISH ): (Ref.#AGU/13-14/HOE)

Summary   
Under the direction of the Vice President- Academic Affairs to lead and manage the department so that it makes a significant contribution to the operation and strategic development of the Faculty and University, and to contribute to the management and direction of the Faculty by working in partnership with other senior staff and external agencies.

Qualification   
• Earned doctorate degree in education (Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies );

Experience   
•  University teaching experience of at least five years with evidence of teaching ability and demonstrated research skills;
•  Must also exhibit originality and excellence in some field connected with teaching and learning, writing, research, or the creative arts;
•  In-depth knowledge and experience in academic programs based on the American Model of Education.
•  Must have demonstrated ability in advising, guiding and counseling students;
•  Commitment to diversity and multiculturalism.
•  Ability to work effectively as part of the team.
•  Knowledge of computer is a must - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
•  Candidate should be Bi-Lingual.
